Elmcor Youth and Adult Activities, Inc. was started in 1965 by a group of concerned parents and senior citizens in the East Elmhurst/Corona area of Queens. The organization consisted then of three neighborhood recreational programs and a senior club. Elmcor developed from that small volunteer organization into a major provider of recreational and social services.
Today, Elmcor is one of the largest non-profit community service agencies in Queens. Elmcor’s mission is to enrich the lives of individuals and families and to build a better Queens community by providing quality recreation, education and social service programs while fostering the values of responsibility and respect.
